740 passengers were stranded in the channel tunnel on Sunday night when a Eurostar train broke down. Passengers had to wait in the dark with no lighting until a replacement train arrived.
BA stries are planned for next week with precise dates probably being set this week after a meeting on thursday.
If BA cancels your flight you are entitled to a refund. It is likely that it will be shorter flights willl be cut and a skeleton long haul service remain.
If you are stranded BA have a responsibility to look after you with hotels,food and transfers. If you have booked a package thenyou operator is responsible for arrangements. If you have booked all your individual components  then you will have to get refunds yourself if possible.;
Torrential rian and landslides in Madeira have caused widespread disruption and damage. The infrastructure is badly damaged with road swept away or blocked with debris. Please check before booking or departing for Madeira that your trip is still running.
Heavy rainfall and landslides in the area has caused damage to the railway line connecting Cuzco and Macchu Piccu. The line is closed until repairs are complete.
The Inca Trail is also closed due to the train line being down and people not being able to return to Cuzco. Nearest estimates are that the line and trail will reopen on April 1st.
The local population have been badly hit with many losing their homes. Check with your tour provider for refunds or rescheduling.
